Everyone wants to stands out from the crowd. So why not do it with color?
In July, the compact version of the HTC One, the HTC One mini, was announced. This was followed by its “big brother”, the HTC One max, this autumn. Each phone boasts a full-metal body design and ground-breaking new experiences like dual-frontal speakers with HTC BoomSound™ technology, the pioneering HTC UltraPixel™ camera and the HTC BlinkFeed™ live home screen. But even though the whole family’s been introduced, we’ve kept things fresh by steadily introducing new colors to suit just about anyone.
The flagship HTC One was first introduced in Glacial Silver and Stealth Black. Its sophisticated looks quickly caught the eye of industry experts, journalists, and customers around the world. But as the HTC One family grew, so did the color choices.
At HTC, we know that people love expressing themselves through their phones, and color is a great way to do that. So we listened to our fans and kicked things off with a couple of eye-catching colors for the HTC One: Glamour Red and Vivid Blue, as well as its US version – Electric Blue – which is also available on the HTC One mini.
As we continued pushing the boundaries of design and technology to create innovative and personal ways to experience your phone, we invited David Koma, one of the UK’s most inspiring and creative fashion designers, to come up with two unique designs for the HTC One mini during Fashion Week. His designs, inspired by “Change” and his Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer 2013 collections, were applauded by the fashion and tech word alike. From Koma’s designs, we created 10 money-can’t-buy, exclusive “HTC One mini x David Koma” collector’s pieces. We then gave those phones away to 10 emerging artists that took part in our Twitter competition to promote young talent in the creative industry. See the winning entrants here.
In November, we celebrated the 18th anniversary of the MOBO Awards. To mark this occasion we created something very special – a limited edition 18-Carat Gold HTC One for the winners of the “Best Newcomer Award” sponsored by HTC. This “Gold HTC One x MOBO” campaign achieved a whopping 1.5 billion impressions worldwide!
Building on the all-metal design of the HTC One, the immense success of the 18-Carat Gold HTC One and with Christmas approaching fast, we decided to give the HTC One a holiday makeover. The result is the HTC One Brilliant Gold – adding yet another dazzling shade to our range.
So the only question that remains is… what color are you going to choose?
