UEFA Tech Talk: Size Matters

As the Group Stages of the 2013 UEFA Champions League approach their climax – and with the release of the HTC One max – now is the time to find out how much ‘size matters’ in professional football. From the dimensions of the pitch and size of the goal, to the height of players and the capacity of the stadium and press rooms; when it comes to the beautiful game, size always matters.

Did you know that every stadium needs to have 25 commentary positions? How about the fact that only 14 people are allowed to sit on the substitutes’ bench – and one of them has to be a doctor? Yep, it’s true. Every team has to meet a crazy amount of requirements if they want to participate in a UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League match.
